How the allowance works
Every UK adult can pay up to £20,000 into ISAs in the 2026/27 tax year. You can split that across a cash ISA, a stocks & shares ISA, an Innovative Finance (peer-to-peer) ISA and a Lifetime ISA. Money you transfer in from previous tax years does not use up this year's allowance.
